Do you ever just want to say screw it?!

And not be bothered with annuals?

I'm so overwhelmed this season with work, just like last season. I haven't gotten anything planted yet besides my vegetables, it's all stacked up, I'm going to try to get it all done this weekend but who knows if the weather will cooperate. Then I realized that last year it was a pain to find time to water (most of my annuals are in pots on the patio - so sprinkler won't work), and this season I'm even more pressed for time, as in pretty much NO TIME unless I'm out there at midnight with the watering wand (and thinking oh cr@p I have to be up at 5:30!).

I'm thinking this may be my last season with all the annuals already. I do enjoy them, and I think I will miss them, but perennials are so much less work and yet immensely enjoyable, and I've planned well so I do have shots of color all season.

Well, I'll see how it goes...maybe I'm just stressed and whiney right now and all will be better next season and I'll forget I ever even posted this :0)
