growing bulbs in pots- not forcing

i was reading the thread about bulbs freezing and it made me curious about container-grown bulbs. every year i pot up bulbs in terracotta or ceramic pots and store them covered in burlap in my unheated summer room. though the soil sometimes freezes i've had great success, bringing the pots outside for display where they bloom perhaps a week or so in advance of my garden bulbs.

this year since its been so mild i packed the bulb pots in straw, in crates, covered them with burlap and left them outside. it's now been around and below freezing for a week or so and the bulbs (which have poked up) are in frozen soil. does anyone recommend that i bring them into my unheated room which is only slightly warmer than out doors? Thanks
