Cassius Bicapsularis dropping all of its leaves!

I recently bought a Cassia Bicapsularis, that has been trained to look like a bonsai. It looked good, though it was clearly losing some leaves when I bought it. I've had it for a week and its continued to lose leaves, and its starting to look a lot less attractive. I'm wondering if this is typical, or if it has to do with the conditions in my apartment, or if its just shocked from being moved?

The plant is being kept in front of a well lighted south facing window. I've watered it only when its soil has gotten bone dry. Day time temps in its vicinity are between 70-80 degrees F. Night time temps 55-70 degrees F. There is no draft where it is sitting.

I also see what looks like powdery mildew on some of the leaves. It was being kept in a cool (70 degree F) green house at a local garden center. Could the powdery mildew prompt leaf drop?

Any tips, advice, help, ANYTHING, would be appreciated. Peace
