It actually rained today, I hope that steve2ski has been spared this latest round. A couple of Vol fans near me are actually rooting for Florida because the are tired of Fulmer (AKA Elmer Fudd). Sorry about the situation earlier this year at VT and the way the media reacted to it (as a dad with a college student at the moment and one more headed that way soon, it was really distressing to view what the kids, faculty and victims families were having to endure). There was a serial killer on the loose in gainseville a few years back and it was really tough on the students. On a lighter note, it really tickled me that out-of-control media didn't have a chance to do their "Normal" screaming and yelling about the pending doom coming from Humberto (no weathermen in the driving rain, references to Kartrina etc), although this moring they were trying their best to recover by predicting that some models had the hurricane moving back out to sea and hitting the coast again. What nuts.

kateskouros - When we were redoing our bathroom, one company we really liked didn't have a lot of reviews, but we "had a good feeling about them." When I went back to double-check the reviews, the best one was gone. I contacted AL and was told that they had determined that an employee had written it, so they removed it, but that they were pretty sure the head of the company was not involved (I don't know how they knew that). I emailed AL again to ask if it was an actual employee or a sub-contractor (I thought it might make a difference), and they replied to say that they couldn't give me his name. Weird, since I hadn't asked. We reluctantly decided against that company. So yes, a company can post its own review, but they also do check into them somehow, so that gives me a little comfort. I use AL as a starting point and then do my own research.

Cabinets are semi-custom. Bases are built by a local shop and all the doors, drawer fronts, molding, trim, etc are all by Conestoga. It was a special order style door/drawer though since I wanted a modified shaker door. Cpartist - you are more than welcome to come check out the kitchen when you are back! I need to make sure there is caulk on the bottom row where it meets counter and not caulk right? And a sneak!
