I keep platters, griddle, cookie sheets, cooling racks, muffin tins, roasting pan & accessories, cake pans, and metal rectangular casserole pans over my 30" double ovens. You could fit most of the same amount of stuff over your MW. Notice in the pic below, I put one shelf in and put the griddle (on the right) and platters beneath it and then the tray dividers on top of the shelf. My racks, etc are placed the long way down so they stick further back rather than up so I'm able to utilize both the vertical space and depth. This arrangement allows me to access the platters easily and fully. The racks, etc. only need to be pulled out from the bottom so you don't have to reach the top of the cabinet. In my old kitchen, I kept all my pots & pans, cake pans, and a few accessories in my lazy susan...it wasn't a super susan, it had the center pole. I had originally planned to have a super susan in my new kitchen and I had planned to put most of my small appliances in it (waffle iron, bread machine, toaster, blender, food processor, etc.). Unfortunately, my DH took over the corner and "made" me turn it into a Pet Center (in a cabinet w/2 pullout shelves turned 90o so it faces the back of the peninusla).

Their store just off 301 is small & kind of sad. Go out the back door & under the covered area where it looks like they have 2000 doors. You really have to weed thru the stuff, but you'd be surprised. Their warehouse on Old Leonardstown Rd is only open Sat & Sun. I haven't been there yet. I never used to find what I needed at these places, either. Then I started haunting Community Forklift. I realized they got stuff in weekly and now it seems I almost always find something I need. I would really like to find old, paned windows that I could hang on my porch (after I rebuild it). The height of the screened area is 54", so tall is hard to find. I'm going back there tomorrow, though. They have a preemergent that's usually $30-some a bag for $5.00 and it's biodegradable. Cock-a-doodle-do. It's corn & chicken poop. Yummy. "The normal place for a gas shutoff is behind the range. This is not an emergency shutoff, it's a service shutoff." This has been a subject of debate with the plumber. My understanding is CODE requires a shutoff behind the range. However, my plumber argued that in an emergency situation, nobody is going to pull the 500 lbs. range out from the wall and jump back there to shut-off the gas. Therefore he recommended having two shut-offs, one in an adjacent cabinet for emergency and another behind the range for code/service. No cabinets have been installed yet, however walls have been sheetrocked and new gas line was already run to the planned cabinet location and a PVC pipe put into the wall so a flexline can be snaked thru the wall from the back of the cabinet to the rear of the range. I am very tight on time, the window of opportunity for doing something different with the gas line is closing because new hardwood floors are going in soon. Taking out some sheetrock and drilling a new hole in the subfloor is one thing, but cutting/drilling brand new hardwood floors, I would like to avoid.

Just to chime in...we had a 36" x 36" lazy susan in our old kitchen...the kind w/the pie-cutout (squared corner rather than diagonal front) + center pole. It held a lot! I don't know the diameter, but it was so close to the walls of the cabinet that about all that would fall would be a toothpick. (I thought I had something fall, but there was nothing there when they demolished...) With the exception of my 9"x13" pans, all my pots, pans, pizza pans, colanders, etc. fit in it. I had planned to have another one for an appliance garage this time around, but the two corners ended up being (1) a corner prep sink and (2) a 27" cabinet turned around as a pet center. My DH requested the pet center idea. If I did not have a separate, step-in pantry, I would have nixed that idea (I had veto power). But I can store my small appliances in the pantry...although they will take away food storage space. I have seen the blind corner units (in showrooms) and they looked like they wasted space and that it would be easy for things to fall off the shelves. My KD mentioned that some of her clients complained about having to crawl into the space to get fallen items quite frequently...so she discourages people from using them...from what I saw, I have to concur with her. BUT...to each his own! HTH!
