does emerald green match with my grey walls and sofas?!
Comments (43)Please don't block the view of the room with the chunky table behind the couch and all of the "things" on it. I really like the chunky piece under the tv. Put it there while you look for something to replace it, you might even decide to keep it there. The open, airy feeling your room has with the cabinet under the tv is like a breath of fresh hair. If you feel you need something behind the couch, try three nice cloth covered stools which could be used for extra seating or as an occasional ottoman. Or maybe drape a large, attractive throw draped over the sofa on one side. And if you feel you must have a sofa table there, choose something the length of the sofa, no taller than the sofa and make sure it has a slim more delicate build. Do not put tall heavy items on it that will block the airy feeling, choose just one thing, like a long and low wooden bowl/ item for the top. If you do put a table behind the couch, the more stuff you put on it the more it seems to "choke" the room and it appears that you have built a wall to keep people out....See Morepaint the frame white or teal?my motiff is white, grey, teal, light yello

Comments (5)Thanks all, I probably should have posted the picture once I had actually set up the room. The photo is after just rolling out the rug, which is why the sofa is not on the rug, and the coffee table is not in the right location, and the vacuum is still out. ;-) I don’t have plans to replace any of the furniture, although I am open to considering relocating them. And editing the clutter is definitely necessary. I have two kids and it gets very cluttered very quickly, but the room is very functional, eg I read the books on the bookshelf and like having books around for the kids to see. I definitely would have more of an eclectic style with lots of color if I were the only one living here. My husband is more transitional style....See MoreFurnished Up Fine Furniture and Home Decor
