Taj Mahal countertop - need a coordinating backsplash
Comments (2)Here the TM is used as BS. Lovely, if budget allows! (pics aren't loading for me) Most pics came with light cabs, but you get the gist. Comments (36)I know people here keep saying that Taj Mahal needs to be the "only star" and you have to use a plain backsplash ... but I think most of those people do not have TM installed in their house! I'm on my second kitchen with TM and from most angles a few feet away, it just appears as a beige counter! Yes, you need to be careful what you pair it with, but plain white tile isn't the only tile that works with it....See MorePlease help with backsplash for Taj Mahal countertops
Comments (2)I would look for a tile backsplash. With your slab cabinets, a little but of texture and pattern might be nice. I would consider TM subway tile in a slightly larger format than usual. Or perhaps a simple cream pulled from the TM in an interesting shape, say an elongated hex or a cross pattern. Fireclay and Heath have lots of colors and many shapes....See MoreTaj Mahal Kitchen Counters - best cabinet colors and backsplash
Comments (18)We used BM White Dove In different sheens on the walls and woodwork to complement the polished TM Counters (but we have natural wood cabs). Our kitchen has north facing windows with lots of green trees. We compensated for the low light with 3000K (the warm-ish colored not the blue-ish colored) LED undercab and in cab lighting and sconces etc. The updated kitchen doesn’t seem dark or gray now which I was concerned about. I would definitely wait until you have the cabs installed, the counter in and some of the lighting wired in before choosing the backsplash. I was very surprised at how my original white tile choices didn’t do a thing for my counters and cabinets. good luck!...See Moreeam44
