Please help with backsplash for Taj Mahal countertops
Comments (2)I would look for a tile backsplash. With your slab cabinets, a little but of texture and pattern might be nice. I would consider TM subway tile in a slightly larger format than usual. Or perhaps a simple cream pulled from the TM in an interesting shape, say an elongated hex or a cross pattern. Fireclay and Heath have lots of colors and many shapes....See MoreBacksplash with Taj Mahal counter
Comments (4)I can't comment on the pearlescent question, but I can say that it took us a long time to find our backsplash for Taj Mahal. We ended up choosing Crossville Market Street Ashbury Collection 3 x 6 tiles in the color "Fleece Crackle." This collection has lots of colors, shapes and sizes, and there were several light neutral colors. There are so many zilions of tiles, it can be overwhelming, but this is the one we finally settled on. Crackle finish doesn't give you the pearlescence you are seeking, but it does give a little bit of visual dimension while remaining a smooth surface. When we were searching, we wanted a calm backsplash that wouldn't compete with the Taj....See MoreTaj Mahal Kitchen Counters - best cabinet colors and backsplash
Comments (18)We used BM White Dove In different sheens on the walls and woodwork to complement the polished TM Counters (but we have natural wood cabs). Our kitchen has north facing windows with lots of green trees. We compensated for the low light with 3000K (the warm-ish colored not the blue-ish colored) LED undercab and in cab lighting and sconces etc. The updated kitchen doesn’t seem dark or gray now which I was concerned about. I would definitely wait until you have the cabs installed, the counter in and some of the lighting wired in before choosing the backsplash. I was very surprised at how my original white tile choices didn’t do a thing for my counters and cabinets. good luck!...See MoreWhat color should I paint my kitchen cabinets with Taj Mahal quartzite
Comments (8)Nobody asked for the full context. I did, as she wrote"my floor is ceramic beige and cream tones" Call it big trouble in "river city" .....from her private message. Wait until the op returns. Paint is the least of the issue right now. To others.......... When we prod and poke beyond your obvious question? We do it for a reason, and it isn't to annoy you. Ask FIRST before major investments in any partial refresh of anything. : ) but especially kitchens and baths....See MoreStephanie
