Help please! Quartz vs. quartzite kitchen countertop?!
Comments (7)I'm in the same dilemma and am leaning towards Neolith, a large-scale porcelain, which comes in a couple of marble colors: Estatuario and Calacatta. It's largely indestructible (I tried on some samples), but I'm not having much luck in finding slabs to view other than an Estatuario one that I generally liked though it had a bit too much white. I think Calacutta would work better with the buttery cabinets we'd like, but I'm reluctant to go with it without seeing slabs. The fact that a mitered edge won't have the pattern is concerning too, and I'd love to see that as well. Decisions....See MoreGray/Blue Quartzite Counter Stains? Please help!
Comments (19)Sorry for late response to both of you. I don't have any other pictures at the moment, sorry. @AmyK we used a hair dryer to get one ring mostly off and one about half gone. Haven't tried ever since; the pandemic and everything has side-tracked us. We haven't been able to reseal it either, although because we know what stains it, we've figured out how to mostly avoid more issues. We typically just put down a towel in the most-used area and just ensure we wipe everything up (water, juice, etc.) before it penetrates the stone....See MoreQuartzite stain on installation day!HELP!

Comments (1)Some more details of the exact products and how long they were on the counter would help? I had TM in my previous kitchen and just used it again in the house we just built. If it was mine, I would spray with clorox with bleach cleaner, let sit for a few minutes, wipe off and then rinse/wipe with some water. I've had no issues using that method over the years to remove a stubborn stain from granite, quartzite and quartz. Some will say you shouldn't use a bleach product, so you can try a poultice. You can find some recipes on this forum or google....See MoreVicky McQuoid
