I looked at the plan prior to reading your OP. I came up with a list in my head to comment on. Then after reading the OP, the points you made about things to change or are willing to change could rectify my comments, so I'll refrain from markups.

It seems the entire concept of the Scullery is predicated on that sink pass-thru. If your kitchen island is Prep#1, that eliminates such a large scullery anyway, doesn't it? And I question entering Offices thru here. In an office building, no one wants the cubicle next to the kitchette, unless you have an I-V coffee drip. And I imagine in your home there will be many times circulating back n forth that are not 9-5 M-F where you will be using your office and just don't want to be perturbed by a mess or the clanking or the coldness of finishes in the scullery. I would also try to move the Pantry down nearer the Mudroom, which might open up that exterior wall to shifting of offices utilizing more windows for Mr.K (there are some odd windows drawn looking into the hallway).

There are some other things I would work on, like that isolated column behind the elevator. If you rearrange the hallway or add walls that can be improved. Some other odd convergences of walls, like at the Pantry and in Mrs.K's office, which I would presume would disappear with a reworking of your criteria. It seems your architect is capable of seeing these things, it will come down to just a matter of how much time (e.g. being paid for) that they are willing to put in to refine the design.

easiest thing is to close the kitchen passage to the bigger study[ romans?] . extend the back kitchen range wall then and make a corner there for expansion of the kitchen.. I'd probably make the butler room a one wall setup so you can also back up the kitchen a few feet. .....the butler sink goes to the opposite wall in the butler pantry . youd have a walkway thru the butlers area and one wall full of what you need. the kitchen gets more wall and a corner and a little beyond the corner if you want also giving a buffer between dining room and kitchen a little bit. so the kitchen back wall becomes closer to L configuration.....butler pantry is a walkway and one wall of the functioning things......is it a big deal to have one walkway to your back offices ..the one person just passes through the butler walkway to land in that office. doesnt seem that much of a hardship. if you need the separate dedicated in to romans room then make it off the hall opposite the half bath. each of the office occupants would proably appreciate a quicker walk to half bath anyway.

To make more storage space in this plan I’d start with the size of things. 48” range and the 30” wall oven is a lot. Do you really need a 48” range? In the island I’m not sure the size of the sink there but consider a large single bowl vs the double. More functional. if this is where you will wash dishes just be sure large enough for your roasting pan or largest pans to fit flat. That is the problem with the double bowls often neither fits things like this. And you have to debate which side gets the disposal etc. double bowl is kind of a relic of hand washing dishes. The trash looks wider than it needs to be.

I are you tied to the butlers pantry idea? How to you see this being used? There is a sink but no dishwasher so what is the sink for? Are things hand washed and put away here? Do your dishes that go in the dishwasher get stored here? There is almost no storage in your main kitchen (due to large appliances and lots of seating) but lots of space here and the pantry but not sure it’s the best use of space or functional. I feel like not having the butlers pantry and having a wider island with the seating on the end and part of the long side might be better (nicer to eat there if not all “ducks in a row”).

The freezer seems lost. Needs something else with it or fully recess so flush with wall.

My husbands office is next to our kitchen (shares a wall). We did insulate that wall for sound but he still hears the kitchen and I can hear him on the phone when I’m in the kitchen. Not a huge problem but I don’t put the TV on if he is working or chat on the phone in the kitchen. We dense packed the wall (insulation). I believe there are other better materials to sound insulate so do some real looking into that but don’t expect anything to work completely.

If you have young kids who will have play dates after school etc expect to have a sound issue. If you are empty nesters it should work with considerations like not chatting in the kitchen for extended periods if someone is working. It’s harder when we have guests and people linger and chat in the kitchen and we have a great kitchen with a view so people do naturally hang there. Ideally if we started from scratch I would NOT have had his office near the kitchen. Also depends if these are serious l time work offices or personal spaces for projects etc.
