I think a nice blue gray would be pretty with a light gray, white or wooden door. Something like the photo for house color.

I should have noted that the only color my husband does not want is gray/blue. I love your suggestion. My husband wants all white with hunter green door. Not sure how I feel about that. Do you think I should add board and batten shutters. I was thinking of a new front door too. Thank you for your input.

I like your current color scheme, but white with green shutters and door would look good, too. A deep gold would look good on the front door. I really like these colors. I have Essex Green on my shutters.

Raised panel shutters would also look good. Make sure you get them properly sized, mounted and use shutter dogs for an authentic look.

I had not thought about raised panel shutters. I think they would be a more formal look for the house. I really like the cottage look of the board and batten shutters but maybe they are not appropriate for a Cape style home. I’ll have to research more. Thanks.
