Does anyone have Eclipse by Shiloh frameless cabinets? Are you happy with them?

Yes, my lower cabinets are the Eclipse Shiloh cabinets; my uppers are Shiloh full inset. I'm VERY happy with my lower cabinets, which are nearly all nice deep drawers. They are very well-built, sturdy, can hold lots of very heavy pans (thin Le Creuset and cast iron), and open and close seamlessly.

I chose to use different tops and bottoms (same color - Repose Gray) as I wanted a smooth, clean look for my lower cabinets and I wanted as much "real estate" as possible. I chose the full-inset for my uppers as my house is 70 years old and very traditionally decorated and that seemed appropriate. THey're what people see, not the lowers.

@Anglophilia, have you upgraded to plywood? I'm getting Eclipse cabinets, too! :)

Cabinet margins run 30-50%. 20% discount would be on the low % for such a major snafu, but it leaves them making enough out of the sale to actually care and respond if you have an issue down the road. If you strip all of their profit out of the sale, that's much less likely to be the case. One option that could be offered is upgrading to some of the things that you cut out to make budget. Whatever that might be, if it were easy to add post install. Like a fancier crown, or that double tiered cutlery divider.

Manufacturers don't price out by linear foot. But if I price out a W3642 and a B36 (no moldings or accesories), it prices out about $275 per foot where you have both uppers and lowers. If you have a section of bases only....then you must account for that. And you'll need to add some in for moldings and accessories. This price is for their Metro (slab) door in TFL material (thermally fused laminate) which is their least $ door material. To update what was said way above 3 years ago....Shiloh now offers Rift cut WHITE oak and Quartersawn WHITE oak. This is awesome news!! :-)
