Where do you live? I live in Temple, Tx and had one planted by the turn of the sidewalk. It received full sun. There was a tall rose to the west of it, so it might have gotten a wee bit of shade when the sun was setting. Otherwise, it was a healthy plant.
However, I was disappointed that the fruit wasn't any larger. Good for drought tolerance which is what I grow. But, after that one, I decided not to plant another. I just thought the fruit would be larger. Good luck.
