I grow lots of the roses you list, but I do spray monthly and have no disease problems at all with any of them as long as I have had them and am faithful to the spray schedule. WONDERFUL BLOOM AND FRAGRANCE. 7x The McCartney Rose (ruffled, few petals) FAIR RESISTANCE 7x Yves Piaget (Romantica, hot pink) 6x Granada (yellow, orange, scarlet tricolor) BS AND MILDEW 6x Just Joey (clear apricot) 6x Mirandy GOOD RESISTANCE 6x Scentimental (white striped with red) VERY GOOD RESISTANCE AND BEAUTIFUL FRAGRANT BLOOMS FOR ME 6x Secret Garden Musk Climber 6x Zephirine Drouhin (cerise pink) MILDEW!!!!!! MIGHT I SUGGEST YOU TRY JULIA CHILD, DAYBREAKER, OUR LADY OF GUADALUPE, AND POPE JOHN PAUL II FOR GREAT GARDEN ROSES? I DON'T THINK YOU WOULD BE SORRY.... JOHN

I've been after this daylily now for a few years since it has become more affordable. It is supposidly a true deep pink (not mauve)and should be winter hardy even though it's a southern raised daylily. At least that's what this northern daylily nursery (zone 4) guarantees. 'Belinda's Dream' is a very nice bright pink with a lot of fragrance. It gets a lot of wonderful reviews from people in the rose forums. It is a gorgeous rose. On my list to get next year. There is also the old stand-by 'Queen Elizabeth', mine is in it's Fall flush right now and looks beautiful. It is a very bright pink as well as a vigorous rose that is pretty easy to care for. Nice fragrance too. 'Queen Elizabeth' will be available to buy easily bare-root in Jan, 'Belinda's Dream' will be a little harder to find. You may have to mail order that one, but it is worth it! (Try Sequoia Nursery in CA, they have it.) Good luck with your search for the perfect pink rose. Thank you, I hoped you'd like this bloom and pic. This has to be one of the best blooms yet on this rose. The edges are a little cruddy but the bloom is perfect to me:) Judy, I'm looking forward to seeing your pics of it, I love seeing the roses in different areas of the country and how they perform and grow for others. Jean, I wanted Ebb Tide, I don't think I'd get a real purple out of that one either. Too hot here, I don't enough of the right cool weeks or months even. This is a great repeat bloomer and always has a few on. It does not shatter like Iceberg in the heat, but the roses don't last long. That's ok 'cause there are always more. I cut and bring in a few and they do well in a vase.
