Please help with upholstered dining chairs (pic)
Comments (1)moo, you've got a gorgeous table. Forget the chairs that came with them and scour craigslist and local antique auctions for chairs that are reasonably priced in a style that goes. Then recover them with tapestry fabric or leather and nail heads. That table could take any number of diffferent chair styles depending on what you like. But the ones that are ebonized, or painted black to some degree, could be reallly gorgeous with it....See MoreChairs to match table
Comments (12)Beautiful, love the little arch on the table legs. Is this for a formal or casual room? If you google trestle table and chairs and look at images, there are a ton of photos. I clipped a few just for inspiration. The one thing I wouldn't try to do is to attempt to match the wood of the table. As you can see from the samples, mixing and matching is a good thing. You could even do normal painted chairs and maybe a bench for the sides and upholstered for the ends....See Moreneed help matching chairs to table (grey ash)
Comments (6)the rest of the room is very light grey walls with white wainscotting on the bottom. The main back wall is going to be an edge to edge wall wrap on a white birch forest background (see below) floor is boring natural oak hardwood. Yes the A frame is fully detachable. I've actually emailed the manufacturer to see if I can just purchase the walnut A frame but they haven't gotten back to me. Could I actually stain from this grey ash to a walnut? And thanks Beth currently your #3 is my front runner...See MoreMatching stools and side chairs to kitchen and dining table
Comments (9)Thank you everyone for the info! Okay - more color, noted. Most of the grey came from my extremely builder grade apartment that was ALL grey (I bought my house based on most of my furniture and decor I already had) From all I’ve heard I am planning on doing the following: Adding 1-2 additional chairs to my dining table Reupholstering my counter stools in one of the following fabrics: Which one would be best? I really like the first two & I agree something with a blue hue would look good. My main colors are grey, dark blue (looks black in some areas), and dark brown. Where should i add additional color? Also what color would be a nice accent? This is the difference in color between my table and chairs…i know there is generally no issue with wood colors not matching for dining tables - however, i always thought that if you were going to mismatch you would want a stark contrast. These woods are so close that I am still a bit bothered by it in certain lights...See MoreJason
