A few favorites from my California garden
Comments (13)Thank you all! I just wanted to say that we have pretty cool nights and alot of daylilies do not open well at all. CBME is unusual in that it opens perfectly, every bloom, even on a new plant. If you like it, try it! It is a 10 daylily, IMHO! Jean, hi again! I missed you and wondered how you are. I don't think the daylily folks would want me posting roses, so go over to the Rose Gallery to see my roses. Happy gardening and try to keep cool--hah! Comments (117)Elena, Name of dwarf cherry? Interesting-pretty Japanese tree! . I have a few cherry trees… Kwanzan, Wowza Cherry, Weeping Cherry, Okame Ch blossom trees. My Okame tree is 2 1/2 years old. I olanted it in Aug, 2nd, but trunk died over winter except 6 inches left above ground. So I grew another trunk & tree branched out now at 7-8 feet-looks very hardy now. I hope this spring to have blooms finally. I will keep pruning it small in width at 6 ft, because it is next to a rose garden bed ....See MoreRoses in my California Garden
Comments (8)Looking great! I also got Desiree thanks to your recommendation. Very pretty coloring and Mystic Beauty is a huge favorite of mine. Souvenir de la Malmaison had to go on the other side of the fence as it needed more sun but Mystic Beauty does just fine with some shade. Can’t wait to see the rest of your garden this year...See MoreRose Garden Tour - Spring 2024
Comments (15)Thank you, Hoang Ton, for the quite fabulous spring rose tour of your beautiful garden. I surprised myself by being most impressed by the stunning Lady in Red climber, which I know nothing about. What a gorgeous way to welcome visitors to your house. Also impressive were the Iceberg hedge, Raold Dahl, Jubilee Celebration, the great color of Lady of Shalott, and the many rose companions you grow so well. I loved the vignettes you captured in your video. You've got a lot of lovely views to just stare at. Thanks. Diane...See Moresultry_jasmine_nights (Florida-9a-ish)
