Need matching kitchen backsplash for dark granite countertops
Comments (4)no,,,to both of them. the first one is too white. the second one competes w/your stone. You have busy granite so you need something larger and solid. That 4" piece should come off. (it's easy enough to do. score it and peel it off the wall. if you damage the drywall, just patch and replace) here are some other splash options w/your Cosmos Granite. earth tone slate. this comes in many shapes I don't really like this white. it's too bright. a honed ivory or tumbled marble seems to be popular w/this granite, below here is one similar to yours w/stainless steel subway tiles I think if you did something like these, in a charcoal color and a lighter grout, it would look a lot nicer than a start white subway. a black slate or the black arabesque would also look good love this black marble in the herringbone too...See MoreHow to pick Kitchen Backsplash for dark cabinet and dark countertop?
Comments (15)If you do a search on Houzz for "cherry cabinets dark countertops" many examples pop up. Create a "Kitchen Wood Cabinets" Ideabook with those features to get ideas about lighting, possibly changing out one or two cabinet fronts with glass ones, new countertops. Many pros on Houzz recommend living in a new house for a year before making major changes. Maybe by then the mania for all white kitchens will die down and you'll put your household budget to uses other than a major renovation. You have a very nice kitchen already. Here's just one of many kitchens in my Houzz Ideabook, "Kitchen Wood Cabinets."...See More4" countertop backsplash or just tile meeting countertop?
Comments (14)I’ve seen the Silestone Calacatta Gold in several “I hate my quartz” threads, and I agree. It’s not attractive installed. It looks like a child’s drawing of marble, lots of huge fake veins that never line up and look stripy. There’s an active thread on this right now, I believe. The Viatera Muse and Minuet I have heard less about, meaning there may be fewer complaint threads on them. They certainly look more subtle. The key to choosing the right backsplash for these types of counters depends a bit on the color of your cabinets. Are they white or wood?...See Morehelp! Which backsplash/counter top for oak cabinets
Comments (5)I'd go w a slate look vinyl tile. and the middle choice of the formica in row of five. A mini trac lite above sink and serpentine one in center of kitchen will assist w lighting . Then the slate look floor will ground the space/not be so dark and help the oak go for another lease on life as per your decision.... [ consider swap of some uppers for glass doors] . Not sure about beige sand cream floor tones...just get a slate look /classic/ hard to beat....See MoreMatt C
