The owners of this house wanted a small wildlife pond in their garden so that they could see birds bathe and drink from the pond as well as attract dragonflies and toads especially as the house is called Toad Hall! An area of the garden that was flanked by hedging and rather dull was made into a pond with a small stream on one side, cascading into the pond. Water plants were planted and around the edges as well as herbaceous plants to soften the edges.
