Two long formal ponds were built - the upper pond for tender lilies and was heated and the lower for hardy lilies. Buxus flank the upper pond, a lead urn sits at the bank under an arch with a copper beech and herbaceous border to the sides. The paving was chosen to go with the colour of the hand built arch and the side beds were planted with receptive plants to make the eye go down the line making the garden seem even bigger than it was.
