This project was another one where a fusion of styles and times were used. The custom wallpaper is of a vintage etching of a lush tropical landscape while the kitchen and furniture is very modern. The palette is quite soft: warm white, rich but light timber, soft grey stone. Craftsmanship was the key to this project - the beautifully constructed bookcase and chairs are testament to that.

Storage was vital but needed to be lovely to the eye. The vertical batons (the pantry and other storage) serves as a visual break between the 'kitchen' and the 'living' room while the continuity of timber and stone in both areas ensures a smooth transition for the eye between the spaces.

The wool rug in a black and white abstract brush strokes is a modern counterbalance to the black and white vintage print wallpaper. The wallpaper also has touches of green that lends a feel of lushness as you walk in.
