At first site of this beautiful glass wrapped building one notices the elegant structure and expects only the finest of appointments are in store. Built in 2007 the task was to create a new urban residential project and do it with great style and an upscale vibe.
Not only has this been achieved, but it was done it with a strong consciousness of integrity in environmental design and a responsibility to energy and sustainable construction. The Building was awarded a LEED, or Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, Gold Level certification in 2008, by the US Green Building Council for its wonderful design efforts.
Nielsen Dye Design Inc. is proud to have been asked to become a part of this recognized project. Understanding the foundation of environmental concerns along with the sophistication that is Luma South, we have designed a lobby and adjacent areas to evoke the warm residential feeling with a sense of curated style that is timeless and denotes the quality that the project stands for.
Our vision was to divide the long lobby into two spaces. One that is for the initial visitor and the other a more private residence space. Both areas are meant to impress with fashion forward style but still have the warmth that says this is not an office complex but our home.
Each and every material has been thoughtfully selected for is unique blend of sustainability, reduced environmental impact and of course, beauty. From the custom lighting produced right here in California to the fabrics selected, we have made every effort to have the US Green Building Councils GreenGuard stamp of approval.
