2023 Home of the Year

Built on the 3rd phase of a development, this custom home makes an incredible first impression. The exterior is impressive but welcoming with warm brick, stone, and gray tone siding and since the entrance to the 3 garages is positioned at the rear of the home, it makes the front facade even more picturesque. Inside, you’ll immediately see the stairway, which is open from the second floor to the lower level and features open stair treads and striking iron spindles. Notice the light fixture over the stairway, which is a work of art and creates a great first impression. Throughout the home, the custom ceiling treatments gave our finish carpenters all the challenge they could want with angles that don’t fit any miter box. The open concept creates an incredible entertaining space on the first floor, seamlessly connecting the kitchen, dining, sunroom and great room.

When work needs to be done, a beautiful glass doorway separates a private office space. Inside are all the high-end fixtures, appliances and materials you would expect in a home of this magnitude, carefully selected by our team. The main area of the home opens up to a 3-season porch with radiant heaters, custom plank ceiling, grilling area, fireplace and power screen walls. Relax and watch TV or access the pool and hot tub areas, which feel like a personal resort overlooking the ravine and woods. On the main level, the main suite is complete with a massive dressing room and a spa-worthy, tiled shower.

Upstairs you’ll find an additional 4 bedrooms, several with their own ensuites, and a shared sitting space that connects two of the bedrooms. In the lower level of the home, our owners can really unwind and entertain. The walk out basement boasts a 16’ tall indoor basketball court, which were the highest foundation walls our team at Superior Walls had ever installed. On the lower level, there is also a recreation room, kitchenette, additional living space, and guest suite. As we took on the challenge of this home, we were still able to build it to Energy Star standards and an air filtration rate of 1.5 air changes per hour. Our owners love their home and our team is proud of the excellent craftsmanship on this one-of-a-kind property that is not only beautifully designed but built to the highest standards.
