The hawk in Menifee, CA can only be a Cooper's Hawk but it is an oddly-colored one. Something going on with the feathers, such as a heavy molt or missing feathers for some other reason. If you have other photos please post.

We stayed in a cozy bed and breakfast in Ribe, Denmark. I took some pictures for inspiration. She decorated in a simple and clean cottage way. The walls and sheets were white. Flooring was light wood. Iron (headboard, curtain rods & floorlamp)was mostly black with brass accents. Some dark brown accents in the furniture and the blanket on the bed. There was another side of the room I did not get a picture of...it had a couple windows and a small table for 2 with a iron base (painted white) and a round granite top ("Luna Pearl": white, gray, black, & taupe). The mirror on the wall opposite the bed had a very small crystal chandelier pendant in front of it. When the curtains were opened (on the T.V. side of the room) you could see the garden courtyard where people planted their vegetables & flowering plants. I liked how she put a rooster in one of those windows. Must be nice to have deep set windows like that. I guess that may be due to how thick those walls were made. I thought it was interesting how the bed was on it's own frame and the iron headboard was attached to the wall with brackets. Looks like two twin size headboards put together. -Laurie

Same name. I just lurked for a long, long time. I just knew I remembered your backsplash. I just did a search for it...yup that was it. Love it! So for this time around, are you wanting a more contemporary look? I found a couple pictures saved in my photos. I have a lot of pictures! I know I'm weird. I look though Google images and save whatever I find interesting for fun. Hey some people play games to kill a few minutes, I look at kitchen and bathroom pictures. Haha! Here's a couple I found interesting but maybe not the style you are going for? Also did you seating for four or how many?

For our new build, the KD measured for cabinets before the drywall went in. She measured stud to stud and then just allowed for the 1/2 inch of drywall where necessary. Perfect fit. Of course, they didn't template for the counter until after the cabinets were installed. In a remodel It might be wise to wait for walls cause ya never know what might come up.
