Comments (5)question,,,why do you have that sofa against the windows, when the wall opposite has nothing? Right now if you were to do any type of drapes, they'd get bunched up behind the sofa. can you flip it and take another pic? (that sectional is actually too large for that narrow space, but lets see how it looks on the other wall). do you have a rug for that space or a coffee table or ottoman? this is a similar long, narrow room like yours. look at how it's arranged for the windows next to fireplace, they are too narrow for drapes, so i'd do your woven wood blinds there. just do an inside mount. (and you don't need to cover every window) some ideas for woven woods, and drapes if you want to try a combo on the others. this would be nice near the dining table. you could also do Silhouettes or Pirouette blinds Plantation Shutters patterned drapes over plain white blinds. cellulars. if you move your sofa to the other wall, you could drapes like these on those windows...See MoreNeed Help - Window Treatments - Living Room Slider & Side Windows
Comments (3)Hunter Douglas makes a couple different shade product lines that come in co-ordinating fabrics/colors in both a horizontal and vertical version. These vertical options are not going to be the traditional PVC clanky, vertical blinds most are used to. You can get soft shades like Duette® Honeycombs, Skyline® Gliding Panels, or Luminette® Privacy Sheers. All these vertical products come in a horizontal version as well. Comments (16)All of your choices are nice and the floral is pretty. I am not clear on whether this will be for drapes and/or shades. The two smaller windows look like they are more candidates for shades or blinds versus drapes. Plus there appears to be a fireplace in the center of those two windows - and the whole setup there really doesn’t seem to have adequate room for drapery panels; at least not for adequate panels. You would like a sort of laid back, welcoming feel to the space and you are in California. I would recommend something along the lines of bamboo shades on all the windows, or maybe woven wood type shades or blinds - there are lots of great textures and styles in those. You could also go with some simple Roman shades. But the idea is - something neutral/open/airy on the windows - and then bring in some pattern and maybe a touch of more vibrant color in pillows and other accessories. I don’t know if you are planning on art for the space - but that could have color, also. But it could also be black and white photographic art - maybe a gallery wall. Or metal or fabric art. Whatever art you love and I really do not see art as an accessory. Art is art. Below: Not your color scheme here - but all the throw pillows + the throw could work with your colors and design....See MoreNeed help with window treatment for Dining Room
Comments (10)That’s a very tight space for drapery panels. Not enough room for them to stack to each side off the windows so drapes that are full enough to cover window & not look skimpy when closed. They will cover half the window & be very crowded up against your display cabinets & obscure them as well when open.. What about finding new home for the cabinets if you want drapes, or, maybe a glam fabric Roman Shade mounted at ceiling height & just a bit larger than window including trim is the solution? That room has a lot of furniture in it so maybe best to find new home for 2 curio cabinets? Just a thought....See Moreshead
