Comments (3)Try anything in white or soft yellow. There's some nice marigolds available in a cream color. Blues & purples will help to "cool off" the hot shades like in Ageratums (aka floss flower). Moonbeam coreopsis would be a nice companion. It's a delicate looking light yellow daisy shaped flower with ferny folage. All of these would look good with the other colors you already have. Comments (13)Wow! Thank you for all of the great ideas. It's so interesting to see how so many people can have such different takes on the same dilemma. For what it's worth, the room has the pink carpet b/c I was in a pink and cream toile mood for a few years and had a pink and cream toile bedding set as well as cream curtains. Then I got tired of it an made my cherry canopy bed into a four poster and replaced all the cream with taupe and removed all the toile. Having said that, I do really like the black and white toile room that is posted in this thread and it is actually the exact toile I have in the adjoining master bathroom! I do also like the grey paint idea but then I would have to replace the panels for 4 windows in the room which would be costly. I may explore recarpeting the room. I believe the room is about 15X20-something, so that may also be costly. What is the deal with CL? I had no idea one coud buy carpeting and installation from CL. How does that work? Thanks again everyone, and keep the suggestions coming!...See MoreNeed paint color to help reduce pink undertone in new carpet
Comments (4)It appears from the top photo, and in the bottom photo (only on the upper part of the walls) that the wall paint has a green undertone. A green undertone will make the pink undertone of the carpet stand out more. [I'm not sure how to correct this though. I think you need to use complimentary color undertones. In the case of pink, it would be light purple or light orange undertones. But I'm not sure. That is actually what I am looking for right now; how to correct pink bathroom tile undertones. I just happen to come across this website.]...See More- 10 years ago
