How do I post a photo
Comments (3)The easiest way is to open a free account at Photobucket.com. Upload your pictures there. Copy the HTML line ( third line beneath your picture in Photobucket), then paste here in the message area- not in a link. You can paste multiple pictures regardless of size. You will be able to post pictures on any other forum, too. After pasting your photos here, you should see them when you hit " preview " before you post the message. With the set up here on Name that Plant, you can post only one picture and the size is limited. I've pasted three pictures from my Photobucket account below to show you....See MoreHow do I post a photo?
Comments (1)Mori, I find the easiest way is to use a free photo site. I use Photobucket, but there are others out there. You upload the pictures to the photosite and then they provide you with an html code that you can copy and then paste in the message box here. I'll link my photobucket site, you are welcome to play with my photos to see how to do it. I hide my html code, so mouse over (run your mouse over) a particular photo and a box will drop down. The second line is labeled "html code". Click in the box, right click, select copy. Come back over here, right click inside the message box, select paste, and viola, the code should copy into here. It's easier if you open two browser windows or two tabs. (one for GW, one for the photo site). Here is a link that might be useful: Lisa's Photobucket Site...See MoreHow do i post my butterflie photos?
Comments (4)The GardenWeb instructions linked to above have lots of information but are dated. It is not necessary to keep your image filesize under 60k. It does help to keep the overall picture size to 900 pixels wide or less and to keep the file size to 600k or less. Many people use free webhosting services such as photobucket, there are instructions there also....See MoreHow can I add photos to my posts?
Comments (15)Larry, you may be behind last year, but you are ahead of me. My tomatoes are only about 4 inches high, but they look nice. I actually had to start over once. I started with a poor starting mix the first time and it dried out so quickly that I gave up and started over. Even after that, I planted too many seeds and probably have 60-70 plants, but I don't have a lot of variety. Outside I have planted onions, potatoes and a few peas. I threw some corn salad seeds in the onion bed, but I think the birds cleaned most of it up before it sprouted. When we had a hail threat, I covered one onion bed with row cover just to make sure I didn't lose them all, but the hail didn't come. I think the robins are having a family reunion in my garden this year. When we get past the next 10 days, then I will worry about getting everything in....See MoreKarli McNamee
