Comments (53)Thank you Tamara. I still can't find this actual thread (I lost it, haha), but I found this in my profile. That's good to know about search; hopefully I'll get used to it and it will be more useful than annoying. I'm not one who takes change well, and I admit I lost my temper a little yesterday, but I will try to be more patient. I found a thread that mentioned the "first name" trick, which is how I have Rosecandy displayed. Am I correct in believing that other users can see all the recent threads I looked at? If so is there a way to stop that? I like my privacy. ...and now I found the thread, *whew!*...See MoreWell, there is one good thing about the change to Houzz....

Comments (56)I seem to do that a lot also - posting on the fly, when little time to comment in length. I would hope it didn't come across as blunt or mean, since that isn't my personality! While I am a straight to the point poster, if I do want to post something I think might offend/hurt feelings, I either a) don't post at all, or b) wait until I have enough time to reread and post. I also find that if someone, for example, posts a FP w/accessories asking how to arrange, I will suggest only using what they have shown. Unless they say they want to go shopping. And while I might want to rearrange the entire room, I wouldn't suggest doing so unless they asked first....See MoreDislikes on Houzz Advice
Comments (124)He did a beautiful job, Connie and I agree with you that when you are doing it, it's going to be done right! True that some diy projects look exactly like a diy project. As an example on my local Craigslist there's someone who clearly picks up furniture and throws a coat of chalk paint on it thinking they've transformed it. I'm not against painting a piece, but a coat of pale blue flat paint on a Queen Anne coffee table is NOT an improvement, imho. So you really have to ask yourself if you're improving a piece. Also, sometimes a post appears where there is only a tiny tiny budget, but they need a change. It makes me sad that tumbleweeds roll on by and spiderwebs grow on those posts....See MoreASVInteriors
