Not that many tourists tromp through the canals - most go to the beach bike path or boardwalk, and the bike path does get crowded, especially in the summer and August, when European tourists tend to visit. I used to ride my bike on the bike path after work almost every day, and I did get tired of the crowds - especially the tourists who would walk on the bike path instead of on the boardwalk. The bike path was clearly marked in the pavement "BIKES ONLY" but perhaps some of the tourists could not read English. The Japanese tourists were especially bad because they would walk on the bike path in groups and cause problems for bikers. The boardwalk was right next to the bike path, and so there was no reason for people to walk on the bike path. I never saw a lot of people at the canals - mostly just locals.

“The scene through that glass at the end is pretty iconic.” Carol, that could be a good reason. They could’ve had a vision of that, then started searching for the right church and windows. I have a friend whose street in Pasadena was used over and over again for various commercials, TV shows and films. My friend once asked a film crew member if he knew why. He said it was mainly because the street could be ”Anywhere, USA.” She and her husband were paid extremely well for allowing film crews to use her front yard for their lunch breaks.

arcy, my Mom told me that back then, they went to a studio to have their wedding pics taken and they had these large (I presume fake) bouquets they'd hand to the ladies...they were not necessarily the ones used at the wedding. The bouquet in her wedding photo was not the one she carried.

This little guy loved the snow. Miss him everyday.
