Comments (21)Not that many tourists tromp through the canals - most go to the beach bike path or boardwalk, and the bike path does get crowded, especially in the summer and August, when European tourists tend to visit. I used to ride my bike on the bike path after work almost every day, and I did get tired of the crowds - especially the tourists who would walk on the bike path instead of on the boardwalk. The bike path was clearly marked in the pavement "BIKES ONLY" but perhaps some of the tourists could not read English. The Japanese tourists were especially bad because they would walk on the bike path in groups and cause problems for bikers. The boardwalk was right next to the bike path, and so there was no reason for people to walk on the bike path. last monthlast modified: last monthMy grandmother’s wedding band 9-02-08. September 2, 1908. I have been the honored owner since our wedding, 2-8-85. My grandparents initials and wedding date were engraved on the inside. The jeweler was able to squeeze our initials and wedding date. The band is hers, the diamond is mine. :)

This plant (a grape ivy) has been handed down (through cuttings) from a plant that belonged to my great-grandmother Minnie. It's the oldest thing I own.

Our wedding cake done with flowers. We got married at the courthouse. Instead of a bouquet or corsage, I wanted a lei made of my favorite, pink carnations. And flowers on the cake 41 yrs ago!

Gold ring. No it’s not on the right finger. It’s a long story. However I’ve had this ring on my hand for anout 50 years. It’s gold and was purchased for me in the UK by somebody I loved very much in my 20s. I subsequently married somebody else… but I’ve never taken the ring off, in the way that you take jewellery off and put on other things. I don’t consider it a piece of jewellery… it’s a symbol of the bond.
