Sjerin, the leaves are present in that picture, but missing from the lower branches, which I didn't photograph. The tree also dropped most of the apples produced by the lower branches. This is also true of my other apple trees (multiple varieties). Some other leaves fell awfully early this year as well. And it's not just my trees; some other local residents have told me the same thing. I don't know what this says about climate change or anything else. It's a mystery. Oh, and the Golden Delicious is never our largest apple anyway, but with so many on the tree this year I expect they'll be fairly small.

Sidewalk chalk with the campers on Friday - since my art room was filled with fumes from work being done on our gym floor. The K-1st graders loved making their self portraits. I had them lay down on the sidewalk and traced an outline, then they filled it in Stay warm, everybody!
