I asked Semper to donate my winnings to The National Aviary right here in Pittsburgh, PA. It is a wonderful place that is close to my heart. Here is a pic of the Bald Eagles that reside there. Comments (22)Well, I just got back from plant shopping and it was surreal. The freeway between Seattle and Olympia looks as if something apocalyptic happened - there were virtually NO cars for long stretches. And I figured all the law enforcement folks were parked someplace watching or listening to the game - didn't see one patrol car anywhere. My friend and I were the ONLY customers in a HUGE garden/nursery center after the game started. Then we stopped along the way home to get coffee and there were no customers at one of the largest Starbucks in the area- 3 baristas all to ourselves. I think the superbowl with the local team playing might now be my favorite day, because everything else is MINE! I hope that everything will work out the way you want it. Suzanne, the job sounds great. I am happy that it worked out. It is so nice to work close to home. My job is about 10 minutes from me, 15 really because I have to stop at Dunkin Donuts along the way, for coffee only! Do you start this week? Patti, be well. I hope Dave does not catch it. I am on my 2 round of antibiotics right now for a throat thing. It is not sore, just scratchy, but it has been this way since Thanksgiving. :-( Marci, Donna, Milkdud, congratulations on your weight. I am doing points, but today I am really going to study the Core program and switch over for a week or two and see how it goes. I think I need a new program to shake things up a bit. I think I need to beef up my "Helpful people and travel" corner! I had a nice night last night. DS and fiance came over and DS #2 was home (rarity) so we cooked dinner and then watched the Transporter 2 and Wedding Crashers. Transporter was so far fetched, but the main character was a pretty cool dude and the Wedding Crashers was a major disapointment. I had heard nothing but great reviews on it and we all thought it did not live up to it. It was still a nice evening. I have to start thinking about a dress for my sons wedding in September. People keep telling me I should be looking now and I am not ready to make a commitment to any one dress right now. I am still losing weight and whatever I chose now, may not be the dress I would choose if I was lighter, even if it had to be altered. Do you think I still have time to wait? Comments (44)After a Seahawks win, people in my neighborhood shoot off fireworks. I've chatted with friends who live in different areas, and the same thing happens in their neighborhoods. I escorted a group of Chinese airline customers to the 2018 Seahawks - Dallas game. We had the Boeing suite, complete with catering. I don't typically go to football games. People in the cheap seats stand during the game, and affording a ticket in better seats is a bit pricey. I was a bit surprised by the reaction of these Chinese customers. I thought that they wouldn't be interested or understand what is going on. But they loved it. And they especially loved the Sea Gals. I saw a couple of the customers recording them, particularly when they jumped up and down. They weren't recording their pretty faces, lol....See More- last month

last monthDyed in the wool Pats fan here!!!! Nobody predicted they'd go this far this season and I am over the moon excited for them! QB Drake Maye sure looks like he has what it takes to have a long, exceptional career, and, by all accounts is just truly a nice person, which makes it even better. He and Coach Vrabel (himself a former Patriot), who went from being fired elsewhere 2 season ago to this incredible winning season seem to really have a great rapport. I get that y'all are tired of us, I really do, but come on.......isn't there just a little piece of you that loves this Cinderalla story??? No need to answer.....the following pic has been making its way around social media today and it cracks me up!
