Update on problems with LG refrigerator
Comments (105)Thought I make a comment on something I found in relations to the inside bulbs staying on and possibly causing overheated compartments or even a fire on LG refrigerators. I have a Kemore refrigerator which is made by LG and I'm having problems with my freezer fan not coming on. Replaced the fan and found out that the fan was good all along and that it was a problem with the electronic control board (PCB). In the process of troubleshooting the problem I bought the wiring schematic of this particular refrigerator and came across an issue with the wiring schematic. When I physically dismantled the middle refrigerator vent and cool air track where the light bulb is mounted I found a thermal switch sensor mounted against the light bulb compartment. This thermal switch sensor is not depicted in the wiring schematic. I believe this was an after modification that was done. The thermal switch sensor should act as a safeguard against the light bulb compartment getting too hot and there by shutting off the circuit (current) to the light bulb. Evidently LG has been working at fixing the problem of the bulbs staying on while the doors of the refrigerator are closed. Now the only thing to do is find out if the refrigerator you have or are contemplating on buying has been modified with the thermal switch. Hope this helps....See MoreF&P drama finally coming to conclusion
Comments (10)I had the same frustration with my F&P oven...No damage to the house, but after replacing one, they decided not to do it again and refund me instead. I'd gotten the original oven at a good price from a distant store, so the $400 shipping was part of my calculation in the savings...But when they 'refunded my money' I got, of course, the 'good deal' amount I paid, and not the shipping, so it cost me $2000 to replace the oven with a similar oven of another brand. It stunk. I bought an oven and paid a decent price, then, out of no fault of my own, was without, and also without the amount of money it took to replace it in today's market and with today's dollars. Best wishes on the final resolution and your finding the fridge you really want and will be happy with....See MoreMy latest, greatest and 'final' design- Final thoughts?
Comments (46)Still can't find that article but I did find inspiration photos for you. Several of them show banquettes with angled corners and round or oval tables that I think would work well in your space. I have to echo what rhome said. We're not trying to be harsh but we do see errors in your plan that we think you'll regret and, as someone already pointed out, you did ask for feedback. Even the best plans can benefit from feedback and tweaks so please don't take the advice personally. Comments (0)Finally found a repair kit for this model fridge to stop the heavy condensation dripping onto shelf and down back panel. Whirlpool Repair Service told me this kit was no longer available. A local fridge repairman was able to order the part. It took from November 2015 until May 2016 to finally solve the problem. Nothing like having a year old fridge dripping water. Thanks to the repair serviceman posting in response to my earlier post for letting me know there was a repair kit for the problem....See More- 28 days ago
