Has anyone seen this marigold before?
Comments (2)Thank you, Jaynine! I think that could be it. From researching, seems that was the Aztec name given to it. It actually translates as "flower of the dead"...See MoreDoes anyone have a 50' Plasma TV?
Comments (16)Thanks Mike, I feel the same when it comes to a warranty, but I think I just may go ahead and get it with this. I was going to put in a cable card, but we just got on demand from Comcast this week. Now I'm trying to decide If I should go with the box or not. Any info on how long before cable gets two way cards?...See Moreplasma tv
Comments (0)I'm considering either the Pioneer PDP5050 (or 5060) or the Hitachi 55HDS52. If anyone is able to answer a few questions or provide their opinion, I'd greatly appreciate it. I see that the Pioneer PDP5050 comes with a media box. What are the benefits of a media box. BTW, I will be placing the tv on a stand, not mounting it on a wall. I also saw the PDP505a at Costco for less $. It doesn't appear to have a media box. Is it worth the extra $ for the 5050. Has anyone seen the 5060? Are there big improvments to this generation? How does the Pioneer PDP5050 or 5060 compare with the Hitachi 55HDS52. The optional swival stand on the Hitachi seems neat, does anyone have it and is it really that great. I see that Hitachi's 42" plasmas have ALiS. Can anyone explain this? I'm a little concerned about SD picture on a 50" or 55" plasma. Does it bother anyone? Any opinions on the Pioneers vs. the Hitachis would be appreciated. Thanks so much....See MoreWhich to donate--blood or plasma?
Comments (6)Keep in mind that while there is no risk to someone donating whole blood, there is a very real risk of a life threatening reaction from donating plasma. (Hypocalcemia from the sodium citrate) As for donating vs selling: I've been donating whole blood for about 30 years. I'm an O negative (considered the MOST desirable blood type, as it can be given to anyone), but I am not a candidate for donating plasma. Plasma can be givenmore frequently, but whole blood can be broken down into more products to help more people. I have always felt that as that blood (and life) were freely given to me, so I should also freely give to others. Yes, I know the Red Cross and private blood banks sell blood and blood products, but that doesn't negate my part of the gift....See More- 8 months ago
