I'd hate to murder the Duchesse, but...
Comments (13)My DdB is not all that healthy. I love tea scented roses but this one isn't one of my favorites - Different noses for different folks I guess. I'd SP it and start over. No sense in trying to make a dud into a queen. Lots of the blooms on mine have few petals - I've never thought about it before - this used to be one of my favorite roses and I don't like semi-double blooms. I wonder if she has changed over time or if I just got lots of other roses that became my favorites. Might I suggest Bridesmaid instead? Better fragrance, more petals, same color. I don't even like pink but the fragrance is worth putting up with any color in my garden....See MoreI hate slugs but........
Comments (8)lmao Karyn..I have no probs with it, I smash them with rocks. And smash 'em good. A couple of times I just kinda squished once, and wouldn't ya know, the front half of them would still be crawling off. So I make sure to smash till there is nothing left. Of course then I can't eat for quite awhile afterwards..doesn't matter how hungry I am, I get that food in my mouth and start helplessly envisioning the guts, and just can't get the food down. Maybe from now on I should use the salt, but it's such in PITA to carry it around with me...though it is less graphic. I don't know, at least the rock is a quick death....See MoreI hate to ask...but....
Comments (3)Cindee... What a generous offer but please don't rush into a purchase because of me. Dick is feeling well and getting stronger every day. Thanks for asking....See MoreI always said I hate Old Bay, but....
Comments (20)We "steam" our Chesapeake Bay blue crabs vs "boiling" using big pots with inserts in the bottom to prevent the crabs from touching the water. I do a "boil" every Christmas that I learned from a Portuguese lady I worked with like you described. Adding the sausage is delicious. "Time Bandit" is from the "Deadliest Catch" series on the Discovery Channel. I love that show - now even their catch is famous! Thanks for sharing....See More- 5 months ago
