Both premiere tonight with 90 minute episodes. Yippee!

I've watched every season since day one. It wasn't a big surprise that Nicole was the first to go, but I was so surprised that the heavy-set black woman( I don't know names yet) said she was a city girl, didn't like the outdoors, and was deathly afraid of BIRDS!! Snakes, maybe, but birds?? I predict she might go early.

My whole family is obsessed with Survivor, so when my grandson picked a girl to marry, she luckily was a huge fan too. So much so that she just sent a video of herself to Survivor and conversed with other former contestants on how to best do this. So maybe we'll be seeing her in future episodes. She's 27 , a doctoral candidate, but I never thought of her as being as athletic as my grandson, a super runner and soccer player. But he has no interest in being a player.

I don't think AR is on tonight. Survivor is. Big Brother is on at 10.

You are correct. TAR starts tomorrow, Thursday, at 9, but the regular time starting next week is 9:30 on Wednesdays.

Amazing Race is the only "reality show" that I watch, the rest seem so stupid, contrived and banal. I'm a little disappointed that this show has in recent seasons has gone somewhat in the same direction as the other "reality shows" in choosing contestants seemingly based on how annoying and unlikable they are, especially when they choose contestants who were on one of these other shows. At the end of the episode at the close finish between three teams, I wished it had ended slightly differently, the "goat yoga" women were sniping at each other throughout, and grated on my nerves. The team that went home seemed positive, happy and upbeat and would likely have been more fun to watch.

I thought differently, that AR set it up for Yale to win. The next-to-the-last heat was in a place where he knew the language? That penalty task certainly wasn't up to par as some I've seen in the past, as they were able to get to the next challenge before everyone else was done. So, it looked to me like AR wanted them to have it. I'd seen Jessica and Cody in BB and really did not like them there. But unless it was creative editing on AR, they were respectful of each other throughout this show and supportive. Unlike some contestants in the past who were nasty and sniping the whole way through. By the end, I was rooting for them!

I kept falling asleep. I missed a lot....have some catching up to do. But...Bruce was stunned. He flat out did not see that betrayal coming and knows it might happen at home too. That is amazing that he is so astute, so tuned in, to see that. Just amazing. He impressed me.

DH and I just looked at each other in disbelief. I think there must’ve been some wild editing going on because I can’t believe they made that choice based on what we saw. Will this be another season in which most of the air time will be devoted to the one having constant and manipulative emotional breakdowns? I hope not. I‘d like to see more Naked and Afraid (sans hunting and being naked) and less Big Brother in The Jungle. This ”New Era” phase is not as enjoyable to me as old Survivor. Ok, I’m done grousing. Next week should be interesting. ETA: Just an FYI — Reddit has an active Survivor sub, too. We can’t direct link here, but a search brings it up.

Just popped in here to be sure Sushi posted. Hope its a good season.

I watched Big Brother but everyone left is so annoying I dont care who wins.

Looks like a good season to come. I thought that the person who went would probably be one of the first to go. Big Brother is a big bummer. The only decent person on there is Keaneu, and now he's gone. A really great guy and good competitor.

Lily, i agree about BB. I dont like any of the remaining contestants and two are particularly slimy.

It was pretty obvious that Nicole would be voted off Survivor. She was not in any shape to compete.

I have come to the conclusion that, were I playing, I'd be injured getting out of the boat in the first scene, and get medivaced out right then.
