Anyone tried this whitening toothpaste?

Has anyone here tried this whitening toothpaste?

Crest 3DWhite Brilliance Deep Stain Remover Ultra White Toothpaste - 3.1oz

How did you find it? I have naturally darker teeth. plus, as people age, tooth enamel become thinner, and teeth can appear darker.

Alternatively, I can try to locate my tooth whitening trays of yesteryear…..

I got my adult dental braces off in February. Since it's difficult to clean "under" them, my teeth yellowed. I tried Colgate and various other whitening toothpastes, nothing worked. My dentist sold me the trays with whitening gel syringes. KOR-Night 16% Carbamide Peroxide Whitening Gel worked! They sell similar products on A-mazon. They sell universasl trays, you'll need a tray.Link....click

Thanks. I have pale skin and dark teeth. Could be worse.

ETA I had adult braces too. Now I have to struggle to whistle.

My hygienist suggested something like opalessence. I may go for the product you like. Gotta find my dental whitening trays.

DH’s teeth used to stain like crazy. Now he uses, swears by

x Whitening mouthwash like Colgate or Listerine

x Some sort of ? baking soda toothpaste

x Prevident Boost toothpaste (fluoride)

Hi, Gayle If the above advise didn't help much with getting your porcelain bath tub sparkling clean. I have found great success in using the following, product call awesome, you can find this product at any family dollar store, or dollar general, or just dollar store, for only a dollar, this product works great, low price and very powerful,I use it on all my tough jobs when cleaning just spray your tub down and wipe, it's that easy, No hard elbow scrubbing, Now if that don't get all the ring spots, then you will need to get Mr. Clean easer pad, use both, now the awesome can get a little strong when spraying so you may want to get a mask for any harmful fumes, by using the two products I have listed above you want need any other cleaning product to clean your tub.

baking soda-- NaCO3 that might help remove plaque but you would be missing the fluoride that is the thereputic ingredient in toothpaste. if you keep switching toothpaste with no avail i am worried that this might not be the toothpaste. can you scrape this layer off when at times of the day when you have not brushed your teeth for a decent period of time? what color is this layer? does it hurt when you scrape it off? i think a clinical check up and more explaination would help figure out what this is. my advice is to call your dentist and explain that you have tried different toothpastes and try to explain what the problem is. best of luck

Have you discussed teeth whitening with your dentist? A good option is to have custom whitening trays made by your dentist and then to purchase the bleach to apply to the trays. You have many choices on when/how to wear the trays. A big benefit is that once you have the trays you can whiten a couple of times per year, usually after your cleaning appointments. I am currently whitening my teeth and it only takes a few nights of wearing the trays to see dramatic improvement. I am a dental hygienist and have seen every option available. The custom trays are the best, IMO.

The whiteners in toothpaste will leave permanent “drips” on your shirt if you are not careful, too. My impulse is to try something to darken or deepen the tile color, like wax or buffing with oil. I don’t remember having this trouble before the super-white teeth craze we have had the last couple of decades. I am no stone expert, though. I wonder if there are something like the ”stain sticks” for wood available for stone? Maybe a waxy pencil in various slate colors? I would dab on and wipe off to see if it makes it worse or better. Change the color in small steps at first. Again, I know nothing about stone! Maybe there is a poultice that will help? I just know how toothpaste fades colors. You need lessons in standing over the sink for your family members! If you have glazed tile in one bathroom, you could designate that the tooth-brushing room if they insist on dancing while brushing.

I can’t use whitening toothpaste as it irritates my gums. I have been using Peroxicare (Arm and Hammer) for a long time but think they have changed the formula. I don’t think it is as effective as it was when I first used it.

I’ve also used the whitening trays and they do a good job. You have to keep it up though, especially if you are a coffee or tea drinker. I have 2 cups a day and it still is affecting my teeth more now than before.
