Hi, Gayle If the above advise didn't help much with getting your porcelain bath tub sparkling clean. I have found great success in using the following, product call awesome, you can find this product at any family dollar store, or dollar general, or just dollar store, for only a dollar, this product works great, low price and very powerful,I use it on all my tough jobs when cleaning just spray your tub down and wipe, it's that easy, No hard elbow scrubbing, Now if that don't get all the ring spots, then you will need to get Mr. Clean easer pad, use both, now the awesome can get a little strong when spraying so you may want to get a mask for any harmful fumes, by using the two products I have listed above you want need any other cleaning product to clean your tub.

baking soda-- NaCO3 that might help remove plaque but you would be missing the fluoride that is the thereputic ingredient in toothpaste. if you keep switching toothpaste with no avail i am worried that this might not be the toothpaste. can you scrape this layer off when at times of the day when you have not brushed your teeth for a decent period of time? what color is this layer? does it hurt when you scrape it off? i think a clinical check up and more explaination would help figure out what this is. my advice is to call your dentist and explain that you have tried different toothpastes and try to explain what the problem is. best of luck

My hubby (who is generally terrified of the dentist) has done the ZOOM whitening as part of a larger dental process. He had let his dental care slide a bit because of his apprehension and needed quite a bit of work, including some white composite fillings in the front. I helped him find a highly recommended, highly qualified dentist who was understanding and respectful of his anxiety. She recommended the whitening procedure as the first step in his process. He definitely needed it, and it enabled the dentist to "match" the composite material to the natural color of his teeth at their cleanest state. He achieved fantastic results. I do understand that the process can be painful for people with sensitive teeth, but in our experience it certainly doesn't have to be - - his dentist gave him a de-sensitizing gel to use for 20 minutes each day for a week before his treatment. Hubby said if he felt anything he would call it a 'bit of heat', no pain at all. The results for him have been incredible, and he is very pleased and so much more confident with his smile. His dentist has been awesome through the entire process, and has totally changed Hubby's overall opinion of the 'dental experience'. I think that is the key - finding a competent, well trained and highly qualified professional. The cost of the ZOOM procedure was $250. I'm currently wearing braces, but plan to look into whitening as soon as I'm able. I am actually thinking about moving all of my regular dental business to Hub's new dentist, because she's been outstanding.

Thanks, Marcopolo5. I have a three-tooth bridge (right front tooth and back). All my lower front teeth are 'mine'. Orthodontist pulled my four 'corners' in the old, dark days when they did that sort of thing. (Consequence being teeth tilting as I age.) I also have three of my four wisdom teeth. (Fourth never came through and is not visible on X-ray.) Then there are the gold inlays, onlays, etc. I've been a 'gold mine' for dentists over my almost-75 years, but I can still *chew*. I see two 'brands' mentioned here: Crest and Plus White. May I presume to ask further free advice about what to try?
