I assume posting mastectomy scars would get me banned, so here is a photo showing part of the post-mastectomy breast (boob, if you will) reconstruction process. These syringes of saline were pumped into the tissue expanders that stretched muscle and skin to make a "pocket" of space for a prosthetic implant. I had seven visits with my plastic surgeon, once a week for seven weeks, to expand my tissues enough to accept my selected implant size.

Katlan, if you start composing your post on The Kitchen Table page, it will auto default to posting on this page. Then you can usually add others. I’ve had only random success when trying to ADD The KT when starting elsewhere. Even when scrolling thru all topics it is nowhere to be found or when using search.

I also have 2. The first is from a miniature tea set that was given to me by a favorite aunt in the early 50’s. It was hers as a child, which dates to the early-mid 30’s. She & my uncle lived near us and I was allowed to walk to the corner where she would meet me and visit her for a while. They had no children and she died of a rare form of leukemia when i was in 2nd grade (1955-56). The second is a pie safe that belonged to DH’s parents. I have no idea of the age but he remembers it from childhood in Ohio and he was born in ’46. It was in bad shape in their Florida basement so we took it home, had it refinished, and I keep placemats, napkins, & cookbooks in it.

Remember these? Do they even make them any more?I remember my dad always getting an itinerary from AAA before a road trip, with routes highlighted.

And the books had listings and descriptions of all kinds of local features like popular restaurants and attractions. Fun to peruse nowadays...
