Masada in Isreal, July 1990. They had elevators but it was a holiday so they weren't in use, we had to walk up 700 steps in heat. Luckily the water system was still working up there and the water was nice and cool.

jrb, I have friends who live in Stephenville and they have said we are welcome to stay with them. I’m not sure about visiting in April, though. 😕 Lol, we visited St. Anthony in June one year for their Iceberg Festival and it was cancelled one day because of the weather. 🙂 In 2017, we stayed in Deadwood and drove to Jay-Em that morning and then returned to Deadwood. We had booked the hotel 9 months earlier. You’re lucky to have it happening in your backyard!

I keep our best (wedding gift) crystal here in our dining room hutch along with my inherited great grandmother’s 100+ y/o China. Ii use them both occasionally, although with great caution 🥴! Today is our 42nd wedding anniversary. I’d use them this evening but we’re having dinner at one of our very favorite restaurants, Geronimo in Santa fe to celebrate. Perhaps tomorrow evening.

Oh Roxsol, how sad. What a handsome guy he was. Im so sorry. My dad used to fly kites with us on the beach. This is a spool he built so we could let the kite out really far and bring it back in. His job was demanding and time consuming, so time with him was special, and days on the beach were such fun.
