Comments (4)Maybe try making a new desktop shortcut with a path about like this; "C:\Documents and Settings\mike\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\Show Desktop.scf" when done you may need to right click it and select properties and mark it to start in a path similar to this; "C:\Documents and Settings\mike\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch" if it works, right click & delete the non working one, then drag the new onto that spot....See MoreIdeas please--sending pictures from a desktop file to a person
Comments (3)Locate the picture you want to send and select it with a single left-click. Don't open the picture. Now, use a single right-click and find the menu item which says SEND TO...MAIL RECIPIENT. If your default mail program is configured properly, it should start a new blank email message and should automatically ATTACH your picture to it. You won't see the picture but you should see a message that it is ATTACHED. Then enter the email address and send it. If you still have a problem after this, the possibilities are: too many pics being attached to the same message you are exceeding the size limit for file transfers imposed by either your ISP or theirs your recipient doesn't know how to save the file attached to the message and open it....See MoreRecommendations for Computer Service?
Comments (6)you might want to look at this from microsoft about your updates issues too. Bill Castner has created a little program that fixes some of the changes that these infections cause you can look at that too. Download to your Desktop FixPolicies.exe, a self-extracting ZIP archive from here: http://downloads.malwareremoval.com/Bil ... licies.exe * Double-click FixPolicies.exe. * Click the "Install" button on the bottom toolbar of the box that will open. * The program will create a new Folder called FixPolicies. * Double-click to Open the new Folder, and then double-click the file within: Fix_Policies.cmd. * A black box will briefly appear and then close. This will enable your Control Panel and stop the Administrative warnings, at least until the malware infection resets the registry policy keys again. You can run this as many times as you like. A permanent fix requires removing the infection. I am not aware of the procedures you have taken or steps you have gone through, which is why going to the cleanup forum is the best bet. Comments (18)Vala, I was in the same mindset as you, it would cost about $300 to replace the bad parts then extra for them to reload everything onto the new HD, but I would still be stuck with an older computer and OS, which means the parts are also getting older and can go out at any time. Instead of chancing having to fix it over and over, I chose a new one with Windows 7 (64bit) and MS Office 2010 for just a couple hundred more. Also, now I have a warranty again in case it does go downhill. Sorry about that Raven, I will try again. BTW, everytime I see your name I crave crawfish etoufee!!!
