" Toronto- forgive my ignorance but what IS that? " Don't feel badly - it was part of a student art installation in an Amsterdam gallery (the Stedelijk Museum if I recall, which was a wonderful experience). I walked in an saw this bejewelled stuffed iguana fed into the rollers of an an old fashioned washing machine, and laughed. And so I needed to take a picture.

15' x 10' striped bass in shingles DH installed over our 2 story garage - it was his first attempt at shingle art and launched a side buisness for a number of years. He didn't have to advertise, we had people coming up our driveway asking him to do something on their homes.

Impossible to choose! But I will share a couple of things I got from an elderly friend who has passed. They were treasures of hers and a wonderful reminder for me of what a great person and friend she was.

Does anyone remember the adventures of ”Squishy” and his overnight visit without little Sprite? I found this old picture yesterday of dirty ol Squishy and my Paco (RIP) greeting him. Squishy is not one to make a stellar first impression and Paco was rather repulsed, as I recall. 😸

Such a sweet memory, my little Sprite growing up and slowly giving up her childhood toys. Letting Squish have a sleepover was a big event for her. Anyone remember?

Backyard @ my cousins' home in WI - 2 acres with a portion left to grow wild. So many happy hours spent catching fireflies, and 'fishing' for crawdads in that little sump pump drain pool. A railroad track runs along the back border of the property, and we'd put pennies on the tracks, then search for them after the train had passed...
