Banning this while driving will save lives and is more fuel efficient also saving you money. What is it?

A: Left turns. There's nothing worse than trying to see , especially with 2 lanes of oncoming traffic when a big pickup is also turning left and blocking your view.

Today's question is

Couples who refrain from doing this regularly are the happiest. What is it?

How would you get anywhere if you couldn’t turn left?

Jasdip, I know you just give the answer you have. The question is rhetorical.

I just can’t help thinking that I’d end up in Saskatchewan if I couldn’t turn left. And no way to get home!

Rox, do you remember that it was widely known that UPS drivers didn't turn left? That was an urban legend. But I guess you drive around the block to the nearest light, instead of waiting at intersections, to turn left. I know every time I see someone trying to pull out of a business with 2 lanes of full traffic coming, I think to myself I'd just turn right, and turn at the light right up the street.

Jasdip, my problem is that there are no blocks where I live. Once I leave my driveway and drive a bit, I come to a T intersection highway. (Well not a true T, there is a straight ahead road but it ends in a lake) If I turn right, I’m heading straight east. Opposite to the direction I want to go. By the time I can turn right again I’m several kilometres down the road and then by the time that I can turn right again, several kilometres again and so on. 🤷‍♀️

Some left hand turns should be prohibited (and are) though, I suppose.

Turn right, Rox, drive a short distance, turn right into a street or lane and turn around, then return to the road you'd just left, and turn (left) to go in the direction you originally desired.

In a city, where there are many streets so short blocks, many say that making three immediate rights achieves the end you desired.

One wrong does not make a right, but 3 lefts do! So 3 rights will make a left.

“and turn (left) to go in the direction you originally desired.”

But I can’t turn left if they are prohibited!

“So 3 rights will make a left.”

Nope! You’re just going in circles. And burning a lot of gas.

Lol. Thanks OJ and Annie. I just hope left hand turns are never banned. I’ll end up being like the guy on the MTA. Or living in Saskatchewan.
