All of us teen girls thought he was so cute! Karen, I had forgotten he became an EMT.

There was a music show on TV during the mid-60s called Shindig that some of you may remember. Many of the top singers and bands of the era appeared on it.

Bobby Sherman was nearly a regular on the show, appearing more than most other performers. I wondered a time or two why a guy with really not one hit song to his name would be on so often but I never gave it much thought.

I didn't have a sister, and that wasn't a topic I would have necessarily talked about with the female friends I had at the time.

I get it now, he attracted female viewers. Thanks ladies. That probably would have dawned on me had I given it any thought at the time. I don't think I ever did.

I wonder what his story was? He tried to break into the teen heart throb world, baby bobbers songs, acting. He was my sister's favorite when Donny was #1 by a long shot!! Was he pushed or did he drive his work? Did he walk away or did he see the writing on the wall after giving it a grand try and just gave up? Did he lose his backing or tire of the pettiness? He was eye candy for sure.

I had no idea who he was. When somebody said Donny! I was like yeah! Dunno why I always thought that Donny Osmond was so amazing, but if they crossed over Donny definitely was more important to me then Bobby Sherman. I was '70s, not 60s. So that may actually be the explanation.

I had a friend who looked a lot like him and when we went places together, teenage girls would come up to him and comment that he looked like Bobby Sherman. I didn't know who Bobby Sherman was, altho the name was vaguely familiar.

I didn't watch TV but he had one song that I recognized and did pretty good, but I didn't listen to music very much either. (I have always been an odd duck).

I remembered the name but had to look him up to remember what he looked like. Seems ”Bobby” was a common name back then for singers.

He was among my many girlhood crushes too - what a face!I think it's pretty cool that he moved on and did work to be of service to people.

With no intent to criticize any fan's attraction and attention, from simply a "music perspective" as I see it, he was a second stringer in a category that, to be fair, went away. Besides the Shindig show, he wasn't often seen on other shows nor were many or any of his songs particularly successful as reflected on things like Billboard magazine Top X lists.

The salad days of handsome solo male performers who were not also composers and not affiliated with bands ended in the 1960s. There were only so many opportunities for lounge lizard entertainment at casinos.

He "moved on" because like all of us, regular paychecks are needed to pay for food, a place to live, and other necessities of normal life.

I am 70+ and have never heard of him or the shows that you say he was on. But, I never watched much TV. I spend more hours with the TV now with streaming, but never look at broadcast TV, ever.
