I love r/cats, especially the posters that do the cat drawings. . The rescue stories are so wonderful and heartwarming to read and course all the cat pics are adorable.

I have a beautiful painting of a cat that my mother did when she was 12. She took art lessons as a child, and so did my brother Kevin. He has also done a whole slough of cat paintings, especially when he and his wife were raising Abyssinian cats. He even took some commissions to paint other people's cats.

This self portrait of his is titlted "Best Cat":

Oh, yes, I can imagine myself chilling out in that room any day, any time. I LOVE everything about that house. I could move right in and would not have to change anything, and I cannot say that very often (if ever). I linked the architects website below with more pictures of this house. I've planned something similar in our new mudroom! There's a ~30" wide nook for a closet, and I am framing the closet with a "floor" creating a seperate cubby in the bottom 18". It'll have a seperate door. I'm thinking they will have simple flat-panel doors, and I can make a cut-out in the bottom one. When we sell the house we can just replace it with a full panel and it can be for shoes or whatever. But WE will keep the kitty litter box there.
