this is my right hip. the titanium rod was inadvertently placed crooked. surgeon had to split the femur, reposition it, and wire it back together. i had both done in 2000 and still going strong.

Well, I don't want FOMO, so I just got an x-ray of my new hip today! Looks like I got screwed!! :)

The letter box is often at the bottom of the door here, usually if it's a glass door. Not so common in a solid door. A real pain for the post person. The bee door knocker is also fairly common. Our nextdoor neighbour has one. It's always interesting to see what people from other countries find curious or interesting in one's own land. It's often things one finds commonplace oneself. We had a German visitor who took lots of pictures of chimney pots and door knockers which we barely noticed..

@floral_uk z.8/9 SW UK We love your chimney pots! I have a collection of 5 in my garden - all purchased over a 10 year period & last one @ 25 years ago. They’re harder to find here now - I was told there was a resurgence of interest in UK for the old vintage pots, which mine are. Neighbors have commented they look like chess pieces.
