Judi, that was my in-laws. Heaven forbid you should tear the paper. It took forever to open a box. I learned to use bags for them.

I have always felt that Christmas is just not Christmas without a mess of ripped-up gift wrap all over the floor. Our dog loved it!

Judi and Ded add my sister to this. I'm on the fence with this one. Doesn't the next gift look wrinkled?

My living room was a sea of crumpled wrapping paper on Christmas morning, although I suppose its better for the environment to reuse. Gift bags go on forever!

When I was growing up, (1950s) we'd toss the wrappings into the fire that was already burning in the fireplace. Until, that is, when there was too much wrapping added at once, causing the fire to flare up and scorch the paint on the wooden mantle.

AH, family memories.

I drive my family nuts because I'm the neat unwrapper. Besides, delay prolongs the joyful anticipation :-)

Saved gift wrap can easily be used for smaller packages the second time around. Ask me how I know (and the size of the stash of my decades-old ongoing saved gift wrap - ribbons as well, those do get ironed]. It all harks back to my ingrained Yankee thrift and frugality when our large family was strapped for funding for frivolities.

It's so difficult to resist pretty gift wrap! But I have now resorted to using gift bags, which are also reuse-able, of course. And become part of the gift, often. Win, win! =)

Roxanna inonce received a gift bag in the shape of a pocketbook. When you opened it it said” You are fabulous!” I used it for another friend who is also fabulous!😀

Christmas cookies are healthier if you eat them out of a salad bowl.
