Survivor 12/11, part 1 of finale

Part 2 is next week, both are 2 hours. So we are down to 6, Sam, Andy, Genevieve, Rachel, Teeny and Sue. Rachael and Sue both have idols, good only until final 5 (I think? or is it 6?) and Rachel has a Block-a-vote. So played correctly, both Rachel and Sue make it to the final 4. I see Sam and Genevieve as real targets, but Andy has flipped all over the place, even if his strategic planning skills have been good. And all are good in the challenges.

What do you think?

Caroline said in her post-ouster interview that Sue usually tended the fire, and that it is soot on her face.

I like Rachel the best. She hasn't been cocky or over-confident and she's not riding anyone's coattails. Not sure if I can take two hours of Survivor unless it's a really good episode. Ninety minutes is pushing it. I usually turn the finale off after they declare the winner.

I hope they target Andy. I'd like to see Teeny make it to the end. She seems well spoken. Really likes the people in her alliance. I think for being 24 years old....she seems to be faring well around camp, in challenges and not a threat is a hard title to get.

Definitely the most boring one ever. I don't think the person who wins should also win the $100,000. I think Troyzan should have won that money. I wish Troyzan would have won the whole thing actually. I wish they wouldn't have given Colton the time of day. He's a piece of crap, and he's not remorseful, and he is a racist, and he meant everything he said. Kat was a pleasant surprise how she behaved. Maybe it was just because she was totally out of her element. And Bill was hilarious. Did you check out that suit? Too funny. I really liked him. I honestly don't know if I'll watch the next one if they bring Colton back. I don't think they should bring any former players back unless it's a reunion type deal and everyone there is a former player. I agree also it should be the final 2, not 3. And after this season, I wouldn't mind seeing redemption come back. They get everything handed to them now. Food, shelter stuff, tools. They need to get back to how it was in the beginning. Hard challenges, really have to figure out your own shelter, food, etc. And honestly, I'm not a prude but they need to put some damn clothes on these people, females and males. Come on fall!

I sneaked in a little machine quilting this morning with my morning cuppa. I get withdrawal if I don't. LOL. I doubt if I'll tackle it again tonight. This is the Saturday I watch my little g'son for the day. What a pleasure. He is ten months old and has been walking a month now, and very happy and curious. That keeps granny running. I'm in Ohio too, and the forecast looks gruesome for the weekend. We have food, we have heat.......I can nest. If it does come down I 'ain'ta going nowhere, nohow' for a few days. I got caught in a sudden and unexpected white out last weekend and had to abandon my little foreign car and get rescued by my DH in the 4WD and go fetch the car a day later. Not going 'there' again. If it makes you all feel better, I have crops in the g'house for spring already and they're popping they little green heads up. We have poinsettia deliveries all next week. That ought to be good for a laugh as we slide around in the mess. Perhaps they'll revise the forecast. It happens. Yes, I'll try to finish up the log cabin and then sew together the blocks on the design way before I start my wool quilt (I am itching to get it started, but promised myself only one UFO at a time now). I got overwhelmed with them this year.

Trying to finalize layout and need help part 1 of 4

Great minds...after I submitted the layouts, I realized I could enlarge the area left of the cooktop to 21" by reducing the cooktop/rangetop size to 30". We have a 30" cooktop now and were hoping to enlarge to accommodate multi pot cooking. However, I realized the cooking space on my current top is only 22" because of side controls and a range or rangetop with controls in front would give at least 5 -6 more so should be fine. I do think as we boomers age, more of us will ponder how to maintain our independence. As for the microwave--I do not use one. I had one but found it to be more of a nuisance than a help. I have been told I will never be able to sell my house without one but using your idea, the next owners could modify that area. Thanks for the encouragement.

I agree I thought I was at the Lisa show I was waiting for her to start issuing blessings to the crowd! Way too much time on her. I was surprised she won the sprint money. I did think it was funny when abi asked Jeff "did you watch the show" lol I think she had a reality check. I almost didn't recognize Penner wow he cleaned up nicely. I too think all votes should be shown and show who voted for who like the other tribals. I am happy Denise won, I was a little sad for Skupin, he really pulled it out and played a good game once he got past all the injuries and bleeding lol. All in all it was a good entertaining season. Will be interesting to see who returns next season, I predict Malcolm will return at some point since Jeff so pointedly, asked him. I still think Jeff the ball player is a jerk. Sounded like his closing comments may have come back to haunt him by the comment he made, would serve him right. I wish Jeff's wife had come out and byotch slapped that Dawson girl when she went running to Jeff for that kiss. I was happy Jeff said his wife's were much better!

That was really good! Teeny said it ALL....she's not known what's going on ALL along...and is just getting a look at it. Loved who got voted out!!!!!

Teeny is so adorable. Glad to say goodbye to Genevieve. I loved Caroline’s reaction to Andy being booted.

Im tired of Sam and his scowls. Id be happy with any of the remaining women to win. This has been a great season and I cant believe Im going to miss most of the last episode thanks to book club.

I’m rooting for Rachel. And I’m with Ded about being so tired of Sam. When my husband and I were watching it we were hoping that it was either Sam or Genevieve that went, pretty much a tie. But I think they made the right decision because Genevieve is stronger in the competitions than Sam.

That was a great episode! I hope Rachel wins.

My DH is convinced that this interview with Sam was taken in front of a green screen. He had me pause it so he could take a picture. :D

It probably doesn’t show up well here, but he looks outlined and the background looks added in. It doesn’t matter, we just thought it was funny.

I wanted Sam to go last night and glad Andy did in the first elimination. Rachel deserves to win now out of the remaining ones. Sue and Rachel played it super smartly. NEVER ever tell anyone you have an idol because it always gets leaked.

Good catch, Jilly’s DH. I also noticed that Sue’s hair went from braids, to loose and back to braids in one interview with her.

Loved how Rachel listened in on the others! Sneaky, sneaky!

@Jilly......We always comment on how "enhanced" the colors are. Your DH is right, = green screen. Sam has an outline....never noticed. There's sooooooooooo much going on. Sue's face looked cleaned up at one point too....then in another shot...her left temple was spotted red. Her skin is suffering. I keep looking at all the no-see-em's flea bites everyone has. Rachel has two on her right cheek.

I’m surprised they don’t all have sunglasses. That much sun is damaging to the eyes, even the reflection.

I'm guessing they provide sunblock to everyone. I am surprised they don't wear sunglasses but I guess it wouldn't photograph well. I still haven't figured out why Sue's face is always dirty and no one elses is.

Here's one scenario: Sam wins immunity, takes Teeny to the end, leaving Sue and Rachel to make fire. Sue wins, sending Rachel to the jury. Sue's got friends on the jury and Sue wins it all.
