Another from our Botanical Garden display. This is a replica of a local retired and beloved physician’s house that he always decorated for Christmas with many lawn displays, Santa, The Grinch, live reindeer, and much more. He also contributed much to the community in his retirement. He passed away last March and the Garden honored him by constructing this display, and re-worked a few of his displays as well.

I wondered whether it might be Northern Lights, Annie. They are beautiful, and keep changing in a shifting panorama, often covering most of the northern sky. I saw them on the prairies, seldom this far south, but I remember seeing them once in this area as I was growing up prior to moving to Saskatchewan at 17. ole joyful

Had to google cobnuts, which are apparently hazelnuts. Love them and used to make little hazelnut wafers years ago. Never seen them sold like that here in the states. I need to go look at my little Kousa dogwood to see how it's doing. Last night I looked it wasn't like the drought we're having. It's near the back fence so I forget to water it.
