Sweet potatoes.....

last month

There are all sorts of different kinds of sweet potatoes. some even come in colors other than orange. This year I bought my sweet potatoes from Aldi's. IDK if it is the type of potato or how it was grown. but most of them (from the several packages I bought) are orange relatively slender, about 1.5-2 inches in diameter, 6 inches long, and smooth skinned. And tasty. Anyway the shape and smoothness makes them easy to peel with a peeler, and I've been enjoying cooking them in various ways. I remember years ago growing sweet potatoes and it was fun, but when harvested they were irregular shaped so these are an improvement in handling and just as tasty as the ones I remember growing.

If you ever thing of growing sweet potatoes I recommend looking at George's Plant Farm, he has great descriptions of the varieties he sells. When I bought from him he would always send a bunch of extras. https://tatorman.com/index.php/our-varieties/
