Dog-gone good story! After getting off bus in nearby village, was hitchhiking home, lady concerned, called cops, the one replying said she said she'd offered to drive me, I said if I'd heard it, I'd have replied, "Thank you, ma'am- that's very kind of you". He, a city cop, asked permission to leave the city to drive me home, and did. Standard time isn't friendly to hitchhikers: two weeks and a bit ago it got dark at 6; now it gets dark at 5. ole joyful (forgot to hit "space" - again! So - had to come back). o j

In case the sign on the back of the store employee is too blurry to read, it says, "The canned pumpkin is in aisle 5 under the Jello."

Angelaid, that would be my husband about 5 years ago, but things have changed. Just the 2 of us and 6 cats for dinner today and he asked if I would add Salat Olivier to the menu. It's a Russian potato salad, but I make the low carb version with cauliflower and he loves it.
