Will finally get eggplant from my garden this year! Usually the plants are stunted and bug eaten. I planted them under insect cloth this year and only took it off when they started to flower. You can see the leaves are still bug eaten. I did use borrowed Seven dust on them once. The insecticidal soap did nothing.

Part of my tomato haul. I put the yellow cherry in front for scale against the Mortgage Lifter which weighed almost 1 lb. Each of the 2 Cherokee Carbons were over 12 oz.

Our Mortgage Lifters were a big disappointment this year but we did clean up the Sun sculpture and rehang it. Should be good for another 20 years.

Our darling rescue, Teddy, that we adopted almost three months ago. What a joy he is!

The last of our horses, Chex.

Chex, age 4 in this photo.

When our gelding, Shadow, died two years ago at the age of 26, Chex no longer had a buddy here. We moved him to a neighbour’s home not far away as they also had a senior horse looking for a pal.

Chex spent his last two years here (the neighbour’s), eating and pooping and enjoying life. I called it ”hoss”pice care.

The past few weeks, Chex has really had difficulty walking and my daughter made the decision to have him put down. He was 28 years old.
